JOB DESCRIPTION 

TITLE: Summer Programs Coordinator

QUALIFICATIONS:   Current CDE Initial or Professional License with special education endorsement; current CDE Special Services Provider License; or previous administrative experience in coordinating programs and services for individuals with disabilities.

JOB GOAL:  Coordination and supervision of the San Juan BOCES Summer Services Extended School Year and Summer Enrichment Programs

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

The function of the Coordinator is to coordinate all services related to the ESY and Summer Enrichment Programs.  

1. Coordinate all services and programming to support the goals and objectives of students with  Individualized Education Plans for Summer Enrichment and Extended School Year programs.  Match services and create programming to meet the needs of students of all students attending.
2. Hire and supervise all certified staff and paraprofessionals
3. Provide leadership role for planning the summer program including student daily/weekly activities; location for the program; and all appropriate paperwork     
4. Coordinate transportation for all students to and from the program and to and from activities
5. Coordinate with community agencies for activities and outings
6. Plan and maintain the program budget
7. Responsible for submitting written progress notes on short term objectives for those students with ESY IEPs
8. Schedule staffing needs – including PT, OT, and other specialist support for the program and support any needs on ESY IEPs for students not attending the program
9. Collaborate with program Teacher and Assistant Coordinator to plan and facilitate daily activities 
10. Responsible for ensuring that all paraprofessionals turn in approved monthly timesheets to San Juan BOCES Director of Business Services
11. Other duties as needed

Length of work time: June-August 

Salary:  DOE / Hourly
